Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until crumbly.

Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan.

Scatter the cherries evenly over the batter. Sprinkle the brown sugar and rolled oats over the cherries.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
