How To Make Cherry & Marzipan Cake
A delicious cherry and marzipan cake that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
- 200g marzipan
- 150g butter, softened
- 150g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 200g self-raising flour
- 200g cherries, pitted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the marzipan and butter until smooth.

Add the sugar and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Gradually add the flour and mix until just combined.

Gently fold in the cherries and vanilla extract.

Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and spread evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
