How To Make Cardamom Buns
Delicious and aromatic cardamom-infused buns that are perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, ground cardamom, and salt.

In a separate small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and raisins to the flour mixture. Stir until combined.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball.

Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for another 10 minutes.

Brush the buns with beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Meanwhile, mix powdered sugar and ground cardamom in a small bowl.

Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle the cardamom sugar mixture over the buns.
