How To Make American Pancakes

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix, some lumps are okay.

Heat a lightly greased griddle or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
