How To Make Chickpea Flour Omelette Recipe
A vegan and gluten-free alternative to traditional egg omelettes made with chickpea flour.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of chickpea flour
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp of ground turmeric
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1/2 cup of chopped vegetables (e.g. onions, peppers, mushrooms)
- Handful of fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, basil) for garnish
Instructions

Whisk together chickpea flour, water, nutritional yeast, turmeric, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.

Add chopped veggies to skillet and sauté until tender.

Pour chickpea flour mixture over sautéed veggies and cook until the edges start to brown and the top is set, about 5-6 minutes.

Carefully flip the omelette and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked.

Slide the omelette onto a plate and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
