Sweet, fluffy donuts with a hint of anise and a sticky glaze on top.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground anise
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground anise.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold until a smooth batter forms.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Spoon batter into skillet to form 4-5 donuts.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze.

Dip each donut into the glaze and place on a wire rack to cool.
