How To Make Basic Omelette

Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional fillings: shredded cheese, diced vegetables, cooked bacon, etc.
Instructions

In a bowl, whisk the eggs, salt, and black pepper together until well combined.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for a minute or until the edges start to set.

Gently lift the edges of the omelette with a spatula to allow the uncooked egg to flow underneath.

Add your desired fillings evenly over one half of the omelette.

Fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings and press gently with the spatula.

Cook for another minute or until the omelette is set to your liking.

Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
