- 2 cups of water
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of dark rum
- Whipped cream (for serving)
Instructions

In a saucepan, bring water, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger to a simmer over medium heat. Stir until the sugar and butter are dissolved.
