- 1 cup rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
Instructions

Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh sieve until the water runs clear.

In a blender, combine the rice, water, cinnamon sticks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

Place a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve over a large bowl and strain the mixture into the bowl, pressing down with the back of a spoon to extract all the liquid.

Discard the rice solids and cinnamon sticks.

Serve the horchata over ice in glasses and enjoy!
