Here at Recipes.net, we provide a recipe sharing platform where individuals from around the world can exchange and share their favorite recipes. At Recipes.net, we believe that it is possible to make restaurant-worthy dishes from the comfort of your own home.

However, we also believe that some of the best tips are those that have been handed down for generations. Which is why we believe that these recipes and cooking tips should be shared.

Having said that, we also believe in protecting and respecting copyrights and your privacy. Simply put, we do not want copyrighted recipes on our website unless you want them to be there and with the proper accreditation and attribution.

We have made a point to state throughout the site, that anything posted or shared to Recipes.net be credited appropriately and that the content does not infringe on existing copyrights.

We ask that you understand that we have several hundred recipes on our website and many are being added on a daily basis. We constantly strive to do our best to monitor recipes and all content posted to our platform to ensure that they are original and do not infringe on existing copyrights.

However, we are unable to review every single recipe as it is uploaded. Therefore, if you believe that an original piece of work has been uploaded to our domain, we urge that you reach out to us. We ensure you that we will take prompt action against users who do not respect copyright laws.

Notice and Procedure for Making Claims of Copyright Infringement

Should you believe that content hosted on Recipes.net has been taken from the original owner and violates copyright laws, please follow the steps below.

1. Policy

Here at Recipes.net, it is our policy to (i) remove material that it has reason to believe is copyrighted material that has been illegally copied and distributed (ii) remove and discontinue service to repeat offenders.

Once a claim has been filed, it will take our team here at Recipes.net 5 to 10 business days to take down the content and material that is believed to be infringing on existing copyright laws.

This is to allow us the time to look into the matter and review the content in question. However, our team reserves the right to expect a Bona Fide Infringement Notification to follow the claim within 14 business days.

2. Procedure for Reporting Copyright Infringements

If you have reason to believe that material or content hosted on Recipes.net is stolen or infringes on copyright laws, please send a notice of copyright infringement containing the following information (as required by 17 U.S. Code § 512(c)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act) to the Designated Agent listed below (“Proper Bona Fide Infringement Notification”):

A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that has been allegedly infringed;

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing including information regarding the location of the infringing materials that the copyright owner seeks to have removed, with sufficient detail so that the Recipes.net team can take appropriate action.

Contact information about the notifier including address, telephone number and, if available, an email address;

A statement that the notifier has a good faith belief that the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;

A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and the notifying party is authorized to make the complaint on behalf of the copyright owner.

Please note that 17 U.S. Code § 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act states that any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing shall be liable for any damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees incurred by the alleged infringer.

2.1 Upon Receipt of a Bona Fide Infringement Notification.

Once a Proper Bona Fide Infringement Notification is received by the Designated Agent, it is our policy to: remove or disable access to the infringing material, notify the content provider, member or user that it has removed or disabled access to the material; and that for repeat offenders, strict action will be taken to terminate such content from the provider’s, member’s or user’s access to the service.

3. Procedure to Supply a Counter-Notice to the Designated Agent

If the content provider, member or user believes that the material that was removed or to which access was disabled is either not infringing, or the content provider, member or user believes that it has the right to post and use such material from the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent or pursuant to the law, the content provider, member or user must send a counter-notice containing the following information pursuant to 17 U.S. Code § 512(g)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to the Designated Agent identified above:

A physical or electronic signature of the content provider, member or user;

Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access to has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;

A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the content provider, member or user has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the material; and

The content provider’s, member’s or user’s name, address, telephone number, and, if available, email address and a statement that such person or entity consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal Court for the judicial district in which the content provider’s, member’s or user’s address is located, or if the content provider’s, member’s or user’s address is located outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Recipes.net is located, and that such person or entity will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement.
