- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, diced
- 1 egg, beaten
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8-inch thick.
-
Carefully transfer the rolled-out pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
In a bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

Arrange the apple slices in an even layer on top of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
-
Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the apple slices.
-
Dot the diced butter over the apples.
-
Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the apples, creating a rustic crust.
-
Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
