Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of crushed chocolate cookies
- 6 tbsp of melted butter
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of dried rose petals
- 8 oz of dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp of rose water
- 2 tbsp of honey
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into a tart pan to form the crust.
-
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and dried rose petals over low heat. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then strain to remove the rose petals.
-
Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for a minute. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
-
Stir in the rose water and honey into the chocolate mixture.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the eggs, whisking constantly.
-
Pour the chocolate filling into the crust and smooth the top.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the filling is set and slightly jiggly in the center.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
-
Serve chilled and garnish with fresh rose petals, if desired.
