Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the baking dish.

Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the batter and cocoa mixture. Do not stir.

Place the baking dish on a rimmed baking sheet to catch any overflow.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is set and the pudding is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
