- 1/2 cup white rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until rice is tender and mixture has thickened, stirring occasionally.

Stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, and butter. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or chilled.
