Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup rum or brandy
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a deep baking dish.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and rum or brandy. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.

In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.

Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the pudding. Do not stir.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is set and the sauce is bubbling.

Serve the pudding warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
