How To Make Zeppoli

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Using a small ice cream scoop or spoon, carefully drop the dough into the hot oil, frying 4-5 zeppoli at a time.

Fry for about 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

Remove the zeppoli from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Repeat until all the dough is fried.

Dust the zeppoli with powdered sugar while they’re still warm.
