How To Make Sour Cherry & Marzipan Chrysanthemum Pastry

What better way to get you in a happy mood than having a slice of pie? These baked dishes are perfect for those who can’t get enough of flaky pastries. From an apple variant to a lemon meringue, these pies pastries recipes will satisfy your pie and pastry cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup sour cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup marzipan, grated
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 8 equal squares.

  3. Take one square and make diagonal cuts towards the center, leaving the center intact. Repeat with all squares.

  4. Place a spoonful of sour cherries in the center of each square, followed by a sprinkle of grated marzipan.

  5. Fold the corners of each square towards the center, creating a chrysanthemum shape.

  6. Sprinkle the pastries with granulated sugar.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool before serving.
