Cooking: 40 minutes
Total: 55 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or Gruyere)

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pastry crust. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.

  7. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and cheese.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tart is golden and set.

  9. Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
