How To Make Meat Pie

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables soften.

Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, thyme, and rosemary. Stir well.

Sprinkle the flour over the meat mixture and stir until well combined.

Pour in the beef broth and cook until the mixture thickens.

Transfer the meat mixture to a pie dish or oven-safe dish.

Roll out the pastry sheet and place it over the meat mixture.

Trim the edges and crimp to seal the pie.

Cut a few small slits on the top to allow steam to escape.

Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden brown crust.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
