How To Make Masala Chicken Pie

Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a pan, heat oil and sauté the onions until golden brown.

Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Cook for another minute.

Add the diced chicken and cook until it turns white.

Add garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add the frozen mixed vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and let the filling cool down.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into circles or squares, depending on the size of your pie dish.

Place one sheet of puff pastry in the pie dish and spoon in the chicken filling.

Cover with the second sheet of puff pastry and seal the edges.

Brush the beaten egg on top of the pastry to give it a golden shine.

Make small slits on the pastry to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
