How To Make Concord Grape Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Concord grapes, stemmed and washed
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large saucepan, combine the Concord grapes, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the grapes burst and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  4. Pour the grape filling into the unbaked pie crust.

  5. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.
