- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package of pre-made pie crusts
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
-
Add the sliced leeks and cook for another 5 minutes, until they begin to soften.
-
Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
-
Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, and cook until the mixture thickens.
-
Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
-
Roll out the pre-made pie crusts and line individual pie dishes with the bottom crusts.
-
Divide the chicken and leek mixture between the pie dishes.
-
Cover the pies with the remaining pie crusts, sealing the edges and cutting slits in the top for venting.
-
Place the pies on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
