- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup ice water
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Avoid overmixing.

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a disc. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
