Crunchy, flaky, and dense, this apple crisp is filled with crisp and spiced slices of apples and topped with sweet pulsed granola for a fruity treat.

Ingredients
- 1cupall purpose flour,plus 2 tbsp
- ½cuplight brown sugar,packed
- ½tspbaking powder
- 1pinchsalt
- 4ozunsalted butter,(1 stick)
- 2cupgranola,without dried fruit
- 3½lbsgranny smith apples,peeled and cut into ¾-inch pieces
- 1cupgranulated sugar
- 1tbspfresh lemon juice
- 2tspcinnamon
- ½tspnutmeg,freshly grated
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a shallow 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a food processor, pulse 1 cup of the flour with brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pulse in the butter. Pulse in the granola. Transfer the topping to a bowl.

In a large bowl, toss the apples with the granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and the remaining flour, then spread in the baking dish.

Sprinkle on the topping and bake for 1 hour, or until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbling. Let cool for 20 minutes.
