How To Make All American Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 5 cups of apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crust
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.

Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust and dot with cubes of cold butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apple filling. Trim any excess dough and seal the edges by crimping with your fingers or a fork.

Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
