How To Make Flummery

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the oats are cooked, about 20-25 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  4. Divide the flummery into serving bowls or glasses and let them cool completely.

  5. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely set.

  6. Garnish with fresh berries before serving, if desired.
