How To Make Peanut Butter Spider Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 48 chocolate candy eyes
- 12 small pretzel sticks
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until just combined.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork to create a criss-cross pattern.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown around the edges.

Remove from the oven and immediately press two candy eyes onto each cookie. Insert 4 pretzel sticks into each cookie to resemble spider legs.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
