- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Halloween-themed cookie cutters
- Assorted Halloween-themed sprinkles and decorations
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together.

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use Halloween-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.

Decorate the cookies with assorted Halloween-themed sprinkles and decorations.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
