- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg yolk, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a greased baking sheet.

Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
