- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- Assorted sprinkles and candies for decoration
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together.

Add a few drops of green food coloring to the dough and mix until the desired shade of green is achieved.

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out one portion of dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Use a Christmas tree-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the rolled dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Repeat the rolling and cutting process with the remaining dough.
