- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips and shredded coconut.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
