How To Make Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the applesauce and vanilla extract to the creamed butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Drop tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
