How To Make Burnt Basque Cheesecake

Ingredients
- 500g cream cheese
- 200g granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 200ml heavy cream
- 20g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

Gradually add in the sugar while continuing to beat.

Add in the eggs, one at a time, and mix until well combined.

Pour in the heavy cream and mix until smooth.

Sift in the flour and add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Grease a 8-inch (20cm) round cake pan with butter and line the bottom with parchment paper.

Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

After 25 minutes, increase the temperature to 475°F (245°C) and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the top is burnt and caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
