Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 1 cup of sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tsp of lemon juice
- 1 cup of whipped cream
Instructions

In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.

In a saucepan, mix together sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, water, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

Remove the strawberry mixture from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Then spread it evenly over the crust in the springform pan.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the strawberry filling to set.

Just before serving, carefully remove the torte from the pan and place it on a serving platter. Top with whipped cream and additional sliced strawberries, if desired.

Slice and serve chilled.
