  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a snowflake-shaped cake pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Once the cake is cool, dust it with powdered sugar for a snowy effect.
