  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.

  3. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

  4. Fold in the chopped nuts.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
