- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, molasses, hot water, and brown sugar until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition until a smooth batter forms.
