- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup almond flakes
- 2 tablespoons honey, for honeyed almond crunch
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and honey until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

In a small bowl, mix the almond flakes with 2 tablespoons of honey. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
