Ingredients
- 125g self-raising flour
- 100g unsalted butter
- 100g golden syrup
- 50g black treacle
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 eggs
- 50ml milk
- Whipped cream, to serve
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, golden syrup, and black treacle until smooth.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gradually mix in the flour and ground ginger.

Stir in the milk to form a smooth batter.

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
