- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup boiling water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Gradually add in the boiling water, mixing until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
