- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples (about 2 medium-sized apples)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples.
