Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 slices of white bread, crusts removed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, blackberries, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss well to coat the fruit.

Grease a round baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Cut the bread into triangles and dip each triangle into the melted butter.

Arrange a layer of bread triangles on the bottom of the baking dish.

Spoon half of the fruit mixture over the bread layer.

Repeat the process with another layer of bread and the remaining fruit mixture.

Finish with a final layer of bread triangles.

Brush the top layer of bread with the remaining melted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the fruit is tender and the top is golden brown.

Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
