There is nothing better than delicious and classic dense brownies. Chocolate lovers will adore the following recipe. This brownie is so chocolatey, it almost resembles a block of homemade fudge. Instead of frosting, we added powdered sugar so as to not take away from the brownie’s decadent flavor. As a result, you have yourself a rich and delicious dessert option. It is best to cut the brownie into smaller squares because of the dense texture.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz unsweetened chocolate chips
  • 4 oz butter, (1 stick)
  • 1⅓ cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cup whole wheat flour

To Serve:

  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, then grease THE preferred baking pan and line it with parchment paper.

  2. In a double boiler, melt chocolate and butter. Stir until completely smooth and then remove from heat.

  3. Whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until evenly incorporated.

  4. Gradually fold in the flour until evenly incorporated.

  5. Fold in melted chocolate until evenly incorporated.

  6. Spread batter into pan. Then, bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

  7. Allow it to cool completely before cutting into squares.

  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

If you want to check if the brownies are ready, you can stick a toothpick in the cake, and it should come out clean.
