- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, sliced avocado, sour cream
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Rub the spice mixture evenly over each chicken breast.

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are browned.

Remove the skillet from heat and spoon the salsa over the chicken breasts.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
