How To Make Japanese Beef Skewers (Yakitori)

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
- 4-6 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions

Preheat grill to medium high heat.

Thread beef onto skewers.

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Brush sauce onto beef skewers and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked to desired doneness.

Serve with extra sauce on the side.
