How To Make Italian Pork Burger with Fresh Tomato Salsa

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- Fresh Tomato Salsa:
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the pork burgers for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the fresh tomato salsa by combining the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, fresh basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.

Toast the burger buns on the grill for a few seconds until lightly golden.

Place a cooked pork burger on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of mozzarella cheese and a generous amount of fresh tomato salsa. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve the Italian pork burgers with extra fresh tomato salsa on the side.
