How To Make Vanilla Panna Cotta with Caramelised Orange

Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 oranges, peeled and segmented
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream and granulated sugar over medium heat until steaming. Stir in the vanilla extract and remove from heat.

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes gel-like.

Slowly pour the gelatin mixture into the warm cream, whisking continuously until fully dissolved.

Divide the mixture among 4 ramekins or dessert glasses. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until set.

Meanwhile, preheat the broiler on high. Place the orange segments on a baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Broil for 3-5 minutes until the sugar has caramelized.

Remove the panna cotta from the refrigerator. Top each with caramelised oranges and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
