How To Make Irish Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground lamb over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add the diced onion, carrots, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.

Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Mix in the frozen peas and transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meat mixture and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pie is thoroughly heated and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
