Ingredients
- 500g chicken pieces
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods. Fry until fragrant.

Add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are slightly browned.

Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the potato cubes and mix everything together.

Cover the pan and let the curry simmer for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Sprinkle garam masala powder over the curry and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
