How To Make Filipino Ribs Recipe
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of pork ribs
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1/2 cup of soy sauce
- 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Cooking oil
Instructions
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, garlic, onion, ginger, oyster sauce, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
-
Add the pork ribs to the marinade and make sure they are fully coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour, but overnight is recommended for maximum flavor.
-
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Remove the ribs from the marinade, but save the marinade for basting.
-
Grill the ribs for about 1 to 1.5 hours, turning occasionally and basting with the marinade every 15 minutes. Cook until the ribs are tender and nicely charred.
-
Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
-
Serve the Filipino ribs hot with steamed rice and your favorite side dishes.
